Shift Cable: Adjustments
1. Place the gearshift lever in PARK (P).
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. transmission splash shield screw, and the LH inner engine and transmission splash shield.
4. Loosen the shift cable and bracket nut.
5. Verify the manual shift linkage rod is in PARK (P).
6. Tighten the shift cable nut securely.
7. Move the gearshift lever through the entire shifting range to check for proper operation.
8. Verify the engine will crank with the gearshift lever in PARK (P) or NEUTRAL (N) only. If necessary, adjust the Transmission Range (TR)
switch.
