Transmission Speed Sensor: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
The illustration shows the location of the Pulse Signal Generator (PSG).
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect the PSG electrical connector located on the top of the transaxle. Raise and support the vehicle.
4. Remove the six LH inner engine and transmission splash shield bolts, one LH inner engine and transmission splash shield screw and the LH inner
engine and transmission splash shield.
5. Remove the PSG bolt from the PSG.
6. Remove the PSG from the transaxle.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the PSG into the transaxle.
2. Install the PSG bolt and tighten to 5-7 Nm (44-61 inch lbs.).
3. Install the LH front fender splash shield, six LH engine and transmission splash shield bolts, and one LH engine and transmission splash shield
screw.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Connect the PSG electrical connector.
6. Connect the battery ground cable.
