Smart Entry Control (SEC) / Timer Module
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
CAUTION: Electronic modules are sensitive to electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damages may result.
2. Position the Transmission Control Module (TCM) bracket aside.

Disconnect the electrical connectors.

Remove the bolts.
3. Remove the TCM bracket.

Release the wiring harness locators.
4. Remove the Smart Entry Control (SEC)/timer module from the TCM bracket
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive
strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to learn the strategy.
