Oil Pressure Sender: Service and Repair

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise the vehicle. 

3. Remove the oil pressure sender.

1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
2. Remove the oil pressure sender.

Installation

1. Install the oil pressure sender.

1. Apply Pipe Sealant with Teflon D8AZ-19551A or equivalent meeting Ford specification WSK-M2G350-A2 to the oil pressure sender threads

and install the oil pressure sender.

2. Connect the electrical connector.

2. Lower the vehicle. 

3. NOTE:  When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive

strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 mi) or more to relearn the strategy.

Connect the battery ground cable.
