Parking Brake Cable: Service and Repair

34 41 120 - Removing and installing/replacing both handbrake Bowden cables

Special tools required:

34 6 330 See: Tools and Equipment/Manufacturer Tools/34 6 330 Removal Tool

Necessary preliminary tasks:

-

Remove exhaust system See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Exhaust System/Muffler/Service and Repair/Removing and Installing/Replacing Rear
Muffler.

Remove rear center console

-

Remove bracket on center console See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Utility Storage Compartment/Service and Repair/Removing and
Installing / Replacing Rear Storage Compartment Holder

-

Remove heat shield.

After completing tasks, adjust handbrake See: Adjustments.

Release adjusting fixture (1) for parking brake Bowden cable.
