With Airbag Systems
Improper handling may trigger the airbag and thus cause serious injury.
Disconnect battery See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures/Instructions for Disconnecting and Connecting Battery and
cover negative pole or terminal.
Release screws with Torx heads (1) on left and right.
Installation Note:
Tightening torque 32 34 1AZ See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Specifications/32 34 Airbag and steering wheel airbag
Do not pinch wires.
Screws remain on the steering wheel without being lost.
