Removing and Installing/Replacing Hydraulic Unit for DSC

34 51 527 - Removing and installing/replacing hydraulic unit for DSC

Necessary preliminary tasks:

-

Remove air cleaner See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair

-

Read and comply with General Information See: Service and Repair.

After completing tasks, bleed brake system See: Brake Bleeding/Service and Repair/Bleeding Brake System with DSC. 

Press clutch pedal down to floor and secure with pedal support.

Note:

The pedal support may only be released when the brake lines are reconnected.
This prevents brake fluid from emerging from the expansion tank and air from entering the system when the brake lines are opened.

Remove line holder (1) from bulkhead.
Disconnect plug connection (2).
