Removing and Installing/Replacing Eccentric Shaft

11 37 005 - Removing and installing/replacing eccentric shaft (N12)

Special tools required:

11 4 481 See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tools and Equipment/11 4 480 Placement Boards (2 X)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

-

Remove cylinder head cover See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Cylinder Head Assembly/Valve Cover/Service and Repair.

Remove intermediate lever See: Removing and Installing/Replacing Intermediate Lever.

-

Remove inlet camshaft See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Camshaft, Lifters and Push Rods/Camshaft/Service and Repair/Removing and
Installing/Replacing Inlet Camshaft.

Release screw (2) on magnet wheel (1).
Tightening torque: 11 37 5AZ See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Specifications/Mechanical Specifications/11 37 Variable Valve Gear.
