61 31 220 - Removing and installing/replacing multifunction steering wheel switch

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove shift paddles See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic Transmission/Transaxle/Shifter A/T/Service and Repair/Removing and
Installing/Replacing Both Shift Paddles for Automatic Transmission

Note:

Illustration shows steering wheel removed.
The two multifunction steering wheel switches can be removed independently of each other.

Release screws (1).

Remove switches (1) in direction of arrow.
