Important!

Tightening to torque must be effected by means of the screw!

Support swivel bearing with workshop jack.
Slacken nut (2).
Tightening torque 31 31 3AZ See: Suspension/Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber/Specifications/Spring Struts (Front).
Pull out screw (1) towards rear and remove swivel bearing.

Installation Note:

Keep swivel bearing to spring strut connection clean and free from oil and grease.
Note insertion direction of screw.
Replace self-locking nuts.

Replacement:

Modify wheel bearing See: Suspension/Wheel Bearing/Service and Repair/Front Axle

Modify brake carrier/guard plate See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc Brake System/Service and Repair

After installation:

-

Replacement only: Perform chassis alignment check
