Valve Cover: Service and Repair
Removing And Installing, Sealing Cylinder Head Cover (COOPER S)
Turn ignition off.
Remove intercooler. See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Supercharger/Intercooler/Service and Repair/Removing and
Installing/Replacing Intercooler
Remove bolts (1) securing left hand bracket and remove bracket (2).
Mounting screws for mounting (Left) of intercooler to intake manifold
M6 ....................................................................................................................................................................................................................... 9 Nm
Remove bolts (1) securing right hand bracket and remove bracket (2).
Mounting screws for mounting (Right) of intercooler to intake manifold
M6 ....................................................................................................................................................................................................................... 9 Nm
Disconnect hose (1).
Disconnect PCV valve (2).
Disconnect connector to coil pack (3).
Remove plug caps (twist and pull) (4).
Remove harness clips from inspection cover bolts.
