After identifying the vehicle, select the "Change" button at the top of the "Diagnostic Vehicle identification" screen.

Select "Coding/Program."

Select "3 ZCS/FA CODWO".

The tester screen will display the coding version. Press the right arrow button.

Follow the on screen prompts and press the right arrow button.

7.

Select "10 Ser. R50/R52/R53" and press the right arrow button.

8.

Select "1 Recoding" and press the right arrow button.

9.

Select "10 KOMBI" and press the right arrow button.

10.

"KOMBI has been selected. Selection correct?" Select "Yes".

11.

Select "2 Recode control unit" and press the right arrow button.

12.

Follow the on screen prompts and press the right arrow button.

13.

"Should KOMBI be assigned be assigned rigidly to the car?" Select "Yes".

14.

"Chassis number Change?" Select "No".

15.

The GM SA and VN will be displayed with the option to "Change?" Select "No".

16.

"Start automatic coding?" Select "Yes".

17.

Follow the on screen prompts to complete the coding.

LABEL INSTRUCTIONS

This Recall Campaign has been assigned code number 13. After the vehicle has been checked, and corrected if necessary, obtain a label (MD20-013)
and:

a.

emboss your MINI dealer warranty number in the middle of the label (1);

b.

punch out code number 13 (2) printed on the label and,

c.

affix the label to the B pillar as shown.

If the vehicle already has a label from a previous Service Action/Recall Campaign, affix the new label next to the old one. Do not affix one label on top
of another one because a number from an underlying label could appear in the punched-out hole of the new label.
