Front Door Limiter: Service and Repair

51 21 280 - Removing and installing or replacing door brake on left or right front door

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove door trim panel See: Front Door Panel/Service and Repair/Removing and Installing Left or Right Front Door Trim Panel

Remove speaker See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc/Speaker/Service and Repair/Removing and Installing
/ Replacing Speaker (Woofer in Front Door)

Close door window completely

Feed seal (3) out of screws (1).
Unfasten screws (2).
Tightening torque 51 21 6AZ See: Specifications/51 21 Front Door Locks.
Unscrew bolt (3).
Tightening torque 51 21 7AZ See: Specifications/51 21 Front Door Locks.

Remove door brake (1) through speaker opening (2).
