Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair
12 14 521 - Replacing pulse generator on crankshaft (N12, N14)
Necessary preliminary tasks:

Switch off ignition
-
Read out fault memory of DME control unit
Note:
For purposes of clarity, the following work step is shown on the engine after it has been removed.
Remove cover (1).
Unlock plug (1) and remove.
Release screw and remove pulse generator.
Tightening torque 13 62 3AZ See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Specifications/13 62 Senders for Control Unit.
