12 62 500 - Replacing coolant temperature sensor (N14)
Warning!
Danger of scalding!
Only carry out work on the cooling system after the engine has cooled down!
Important!
Gaiter and charge-air hoses with clamp fastenings must be installed dry and free from grease!
Sealing faces and fittings must be dry and free from grease.
If gaiter and charge-air hoses with clamp fastenings are not installed dry and free from grease, this may result in turbocharger failure!
Necessary preliminary tasks:

Read out fault memory of DME control unit
-
Check stored fault messages
-
Switch off ignition
Installation location:
On cylinder head, left.
Coolant can escape when coolant temperature sensor is being replaced. Catch and dispose of coolant.
