Valve Guide Seal: Service and Repair

REMOVAL SERVICE POINTS

Note: Mitsubishi manuals for this model do NOT offer an on engine valve guide seal replacement procedure. The procedure the manual
does offer follows:

Note: Keep removed parts in order according to the cylinder number and intake/exhaust.

1. CYLINDER HEAD BOLT REMOVAL

2. RETAINER LOCK REMOVAL

1. Using the special tool, compress the spring.
2. Remove the retainer locks

  3. VALVE STEM SEAL REMOVAL

1) Do not reuse removed valve stem seals
