b. To remove clockspring connector from air bag module, force lock outward and pry it with a suitable screwdriver as shown, Fig. 11. Ensure no

excessive force is applied when connector is removed. The removed air bag module should be stored in a clean, dry, flat place with pad
cover facing up.

c. Remove upper and lower steering column cover screws and covers, ensuring not to break cover grippers, Fig. 12.
d. Insert ignition key into ignition lock cylinder and turn to Acc position.
