DATE October, 1991
MODEL 1992 Diamante, 1991-92 3000GT
SUBJECT:
NON-CANCELLATION OF TURN SIGNAL INDICATOR
PURPOSE
This Technical Service Bulletin describes how to correct a turn signal indicator that does not cancel after the steering wheel is returned to the center
position.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
1992 Diamante and 1991-92 3000GT.
DESCRIPTION
On some 1992 Diamantes and 1991-92 3000GTs, the turn signal indicator may not cancel after the steering wheel is returned to the center position. This
condition may be caused by an interference between the turn signal switch bracket and ratchet lever.
To eliminate the interference between the bracket and the ratchet lever, a corrective procedure has been established that involves shimming the front
plate of the turn signal switch.
CORRECTIVE PROCEDURE
1.
Record all radio preset stations.
2.
Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Wait at least 30 seconds for SRS system discharge before proceeding.
3.
Remove the upper and lower halves of the steering column cover.
