1.

Disable airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.

2.

Remove steering wheel as outlined under STEERING WHEEL.

3.

Remove knee protector as follows:
a. Remove hood lock handle.
b. Remove rheostat and switch garnish.
c. Remove knee protector screws and knee protector, Fig. 17.

4.

Remove upper and lower steering column cover screws then remove covers ensuring not to break cover grippers, Fig. 11.

5.

Remove lap cooler and foot shower duct.

6.

Remove right and left column switch.

7.

Reverse procedure to install, rearming the airbag system as outlined under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM
DISARMING.
