8. Set V-blocks as much as possible to the end of the shaft, then measure the deflection at the center of the shaft.
9. Inspect universal joints for smooth operation in all directions, then the center bearing for smooth movement and mounting rubber for damage or
deterioration and replace as necessary.
10. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

a. Install spacers and insulators as shown, Fig. 5.
b. When installing center bearing, assemble the same spacers as removed from the bearing or new spacers of equal thickness.
