3. Cut out a portion in the camshaft oil seal lip.
4. Cover the tip of a screwdriver with a cloth and apply it to the cutout in the oil seal to pry off the oil seal.
CAUTION: Use care not to damage the camshaft and front camshaft bearing cap.
5. When installing the camshaft oil seal use installation tool No. MD998761, or equivalent. Coat engine oil on the whole circumference of the oil seal
lip section.
6. Install the camshaft sprocket and tighten to 90 Nm (65 ft. lbs.).
7. Tighten the rocker cover bolts in the order shown in the illustration.
NOTE:

Only the No. 5 bolt in the rear bank differs from other bolts in length.
Tighten rear bank No. 5 bolt to 20 mm (0.79 inch). Tighten all other bolts to 10 mm (0.39 inch).

Bolts are color coded for the front and rear banks as follows:
Front bank bolts are black.
Rear bank bank bolts are green.

When the rocker cover gasket has been replaced, tighten bolts in this order and then, retighten bolts 1 through 6 to 4 Nm (2.9 ft. lbs.).
