Replace the jet of the solenoid valve with a new jet from the service kit as specified in Table 4 below. When removing the jet from the valve, be
careful not to lose the spring.

Replace the O-ring of the jet mixture solenoid valve with a new one from the service kit and install the valve in the carburetor.

Remove the deceleration solenoid valve and replace the O-ring with a new one from the service kit (Figure 5). Install the valve in the carburetor.

Reinstall the carburetor using the reverse order of the removal procedure. Use the new carburetor gasket from the service kit. Remove the locking
clamp pliers from the coolant hose and check all vacuum hose routings and carburetor fastener torques.

9.

Reset the ignition timing ftom 5~ BTDC to 8~ BTDC as described in the appropriate Service Manual.

NOTE:

THIS IS A NEW TIMING SPECIFICATION.

Check curb idle RPM and adjust as necessary (see page 14-12 in the 1984 Cordia/Tredia Service Manual for procedure if necessary) (Figure 6).
