Vehicle Speed Sensor Circuit
LOCATION
The speed sensor is located in the speedometer head.
OPERATION
The vehicle speed sensor uses a magnetic reed type switch. As the speedometer cable turns, the switch turns on and off (opening and closing the
circuit). The ECM interprets this signal as the vehicle speed.
