INSTALLATION SERVICE POINTS 

>>A<< BRAKE BOOSTER PUSH ROD ADJUSTMENT 

NOTE:  This adjustment is factory set and should not be tampered with. However, if the adjustment has been disturbed the following checks and
adjustment can be applied.

Adjust the brake booster push rod as follows:
1. With the brake booster/master cylinder assembly on the vehicle, start the engine to apply vacuum to the brake booster.
2. Depress the brake pedal at least two times then switch the engine off.
3. Remove the master cylinder from the brake booster.

CAUTION:  After removing the master cylinder from the brake booster, care must be taken not to disturb the pushrod and not to depress the
brake pedal after the master cylinder is removed. Failure to observe this caution may result in the brake booster re-action disc becoming
dislodged inside the brake booster.

4. Using a block gauge and vernier caliper, measure the thickness of the block gauge. Add 9.3 mm (0.366 inch) to the block gauge thickness and

set the vernier to this calculated dimension. 
Standard Value: 9.2 - 9.4 mm (0.362 - 0.370 inch) 

5. Check the position of the push rod with the vernier set at the calculated dimension. Adjust only if necessary.
