LOOSE CHMSL REPAIR UPDATE
Loose CHMSL Repair Update - 2002-04 Diamante with center high mount stop lamp. The CHMSL may become dislodged from the glass due to poor
adhesion between the attachment clips and the blackout portion of the glass. Remove and discard the old clips. Contact Tech Line to obtain two
replacement attachment clips, then reinstall the CHMSL as follows:
1. Thoroughly clean the mounting surfaces of the glass blackout and the clips with a cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.
2. Snap the clips to the CHMSL. Place it in position against the glass. Mark its position with two pieces of tape along the top and bottom edges.
3. Remove the CHMSL and apply a small amount of 3M Single Step Primer 08681 and 3M Windo-Weld Super Fast Urethane Black 08609 to the
mounting surfaces of the new clips. Using the tape as a guide, install the CHMSL.
4. Apply a piece of tape over the CHMSL to hold it in place while the adhesive dries (approximately one hour).
