<<A>> TIE ROD REMOVAL 

<<B>> RACK SUPPORT COVER 

1. Scribe a mark across the surface of the rack support cover and the rack housing.
2. Remove the lock nut.
3. Remove the rack support cover.

<<C>> PINION AND VALVE ASSEMBLY 

1. Using a plastic hammer, gently tap the pinion to remove it.

<<D>> SEAL RING 

1. Cut the seal ring and remove it from the pinion and valve assembly and the rack.

NOTE:  Take care not to scratch the pinion and valve assembly, or the rack assembly when cutting the seal ring.
