FRONT TIRE SCRAPING NOISE
PURPOSE
A scraping noise may be heard when traveling at speeds below 5 mph, due to the front tire rubbing against the splash shield, particularly on the front
driver's side.
To eliminate the noise, follow the repair procedure in this bulletin to modify the front inner fender splash shield to prevent contact with the tire.

PROCEDURE
1.
Raise and support the front of the vehicle.
2.
Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
3.
Remove the two screw fastener assemblies attaching the splash shield to the under cover panel.
4.
Push the splash shield forward. Drill two new 8 mm holes into the under cover panel (not the splash shield) at about 10 mm forward of the existing
holes.
5.
Install the splash shield in the new holes, using the existing screw fastener assemblies.
6.
Reinstall the front tire and wheel assembly.
