- If it appears to have been moved, adjust it.
- If there is no evidence of adjustment, suspect a deteriorated fast idle air valve, replace throttle body if this is the case.

Stop the engine, disconnect jumper wires, remove tachometer and install waterproof plug in the connector for ignition timing adjustment.
9.
Start the engine and run at idle for 10 minutes to confirm that idling condition is normal.
