Throttle Position Connector
2. Disconnect the throttle position sensor (TPS) connector and connect special service tool (SST) #MD998478 between the harness and TPS
connectors.
DVOM And SST
3. Connect a digital volt ohm meter (DVOM) to the RED and BLUE clips of the SST (terminals 2 and 3 of the TPS connector).
4. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

6. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the electrical connector for the idle speed control servo. This will lock the idle speed control plunger at
the initial position.
Idle Speed Adjusting Screws
7. Loosen the fixed speed adjusting screw (SAS) fully.
8. Start the engine and check that the idle speed is within specifications.
