Fig. 2  Replacing Differential Carrier

1.

Drain differential fluid into a suitable container.

2.

Remove center exhaust pipe.

3.

Remove driveshaft.

4.

Remove propeller shaft.

5.

Remove differential carrier in numbered sequence shown in Figs. 1 and 2, noting the following:
a. On 3000GT models, Hold bottom of differential carrier and remove rear wheel oil pump through mounting hole then remove differential

carrier.

6.

On all models, reverse procedure to install.
