Secure the control unit to its bracket by wrapping a plastic tie strap around the middle of the control unit and through the slot on the bracket. After
tightening, cut off any excess tie strap material.

Reinstall the headliner.

9.

Reinstall the sunroof control panel.

Difficult to Close Sunshade

CONDITION:

Difficult to Close Sunshade

If the sunshade requires excessive effort to open and close, perform the following steps in order. All steps may not be required.

1.

Verify that the trim around the sunroof opening is properly installed and does not interfere with sunshade operation. Slide off a portion of the trim
and verify that the trim is installed with the ribbed side down. If not, remove and reinstall trim properly.

2.

Verify that the trim around the sunroof opening is seated properly over the headliner and sunroof housing. It should not be positioned over the
slide rails. Adjust if necessary.

3.

Remove sunshade. Examine the sunshade side tabs to ensure they are not cracked or broken. If so, replace the sunshade. Be sure that the slide
blocks are properly installed in the guide rails when installing the sunshade.

4.

Increase sunshade clearance by adjusting the sunroof housing. Grasp the sunroof tray (roof area under sunshade) and pull it down slightly until
there is enough clearance for the sunshade without allowing a gap for sunlight to go through.

Rattle From Sunshade

CONDITION:

Rattle/Noise from Sunshade

A rattling noise from the rear of the sunshade when in the open position may be caused by a loose right rear sunshade slide block.
