CONDITION:
Difficult to Close Sunroof/Noisy When Sunroof Closes
Loose sunroof pins may prevent the sunroof from closing completely, or cause a snapping noise when it closes. A loose pivot pin moves out of its proper
position and becomes bent when the sunroof moves. Then the bent pin allows the plastic locking arm to move out of position, preventing the sunroof
from closing.
First. check for possible rail guide damage. If damaged, replace the rail guide assembly. If the rail guide is not damaged, install new, knurled sunroof
pin(s) listed in the "Parts Information" section of this Technical Service Bulletin.
SUNROOF PIVOT PIN REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE:
1.
Open the sunroof to the VENT position. Be sure that the pivot pin is aligned with the access hole.
