Remove the rubber fuel pump vibration dampener to expose the fuel filter retaining clip (or nut). Remove the retaining clip (or nut) and the filter.

Install the new fuel filter onto the fuel pump. If specified in the Service Manual, tighten the fuel filter retaining nut to the proper torque.

Before installing the fuel pump into the tank, observe the condition of the old fuel filter. If the filter was severely clogged, clean the inside of the
fuel tank thoroughly.
6.
Using a new gasket, install the fuel pump into the fuel tank. Re-assemble all other components.
7.
After installing the fuel pump, run the engine to verify normal operation.
