Power Steering Valve: Service and Repair

1.

Raise and support vehicle.

2.

Clean steering system piping using suitable steam cleaner or equivalent.

3.

Drain steering system fluid into a suitable container.

4.

Remove the rear suspension assembly as outlined under REAR SUSPENSION/COMPONENT REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR
PROCEDURES/REAR SUSPENSION ASSEMBLY.

5.

Replace control valve and related components in numbered sequence shown in Fig. 24.

6.

Reverse procedure to install, bleeding the 4 Wheel Steering (4WS) system as outlined under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/BLEEDING
SYSTEM/FOUR WHEEL STEERING.
