Eclipse L4-1997cc 2.0L DOHC Turbo 16 Valve (1996)
2. Remove the cylinder head bolts in sequence shown. Using the special tool, loosen the cylinder head bolt.
3. Loosen the cylinder head bolts in the order shown. Loosen bolts evenly little by little, taking several steps.
NOTE: Store removed valves, springs and other parts, tagged to indicate their cylinder No. and location for reassembly.
4. Using special tool, remove valve, springs and other parts.
ASSEMBLY
1. Follow disassembly procedure in reverse order, noting the following.
2. Install the valve spring seat.
3. Install the valve spring so that its end with identification color is positioned on the rocker arm end.
4. Do not compress the valve spring excessively, or the bottom end of the retainer will damage the stem seal.
