12. Coat the threads of oil pressure switch and the oil pressure gauge unit with 3M ATD Part No.8660, or equivalent sealant, and install.
CAUTION:
-
Keep the end of threaded portion clear of sealant.

Avoid overtightening.
13. To install the flange bolt:
a. Insert a Phillips screwdriver into a hole in the left side of the cylinder block to lock the silent shaft.
b. Secure the oil pump driven gear onto the left counterbalance shaft by tightening the flange bolt to 37 Nm (27 ft. lbs.).
14. To install the plug, put a new O-ring into the groove of front case and using the special tool, install the plug and tighten to specified torque.
15. Clean both mating surfaces of oil pan and cylinder block and apply a 4 mm (0.16 inch) wide bead of Mitsubishi Genuine Part No. MD970389, or
