YES: Go to Step 8.
NO: Replace the clock spring.
STEP 8. Check the clock spring connector C-96 and switch (RH) connector C-97 for damage.
Q: Are clock spring connector C-96 and switch (RH) connector C-97 in good condition?
YES: Go to step 9.
NO: Repair or replace the connector. Refer to Harness Connector Inspection. The remote controlled radio switch should work normally.
STEP 9. Check the wiring harness between clock spring connector C-96 (terminals 4 and 5) and switch (RH) connector C-97 (terminals 1 and
2).
Q: Is the wiring harness between clock spring connector C-96 (terminals 4 and 5) and switch (RH) connector C-97 (terminals 1 and 2) in good
condition?
YES: Replace the audio system.
NO: Repair the wiring harness. The speedometer should work normally.
Inspection Procedure 2
