PURPOSE
The manual transmission on affected vehicles has a pull-type clutch. When removing or installing the transmission, use care to prevent dislodging the
clutch cover (pressure plate) wire ring due to interference with the input shaft and/or clutch housing. If the wire ring is dislodged, it could come off
completely during driving, causing the clutch to become inoperative.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
2003-on Lancer Evolution models
2001-2005 Eclipse and Eclipse Spyder models equipped with V6 engine
