CHILD SAFETY SEAT UPPER TETHER ANCHOR KITS
PURPOSE
This bulletin contains information about child safety seat tether anchor kits which are available for certain Mitsubishi vehicles.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Most Mitsubishi vehicles since 1986 have child safety seat tether mount anchor holes with weld nut receivers for installing upper tether anchor kits. Kits
for most of these models are supplied at no charge by Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America, Inc. All 2000 model vehicles with the exception of the
Montero have these anchor mount holes. Most late production 2000 model year vehicles also have the upper tether anchor mounts installed at the
factory.
NOTE: Convertibles (3000GT Spyder & Eclipse Spyder) are not required to have upper tether anchor mounts.
