Using the following values, adjust the generator drive belt tension. Refer to On Vehicle Service in Section 11A of the appropriate service manual if
necessary.

Use a tension gauge to measure and adjust belt tension using the value of 588 - 784 N (132 - 176 lbs.).

Or, apply a force of 98N (22 lbs.) to the area indicated, measure and adjust deflection to 5.8 - 7.4 mm (.23 - .29 in.)
NOTE:
Always adjust the generator belt with the engine cold.
