A full tube of grease should be used on each vehicle, 1/2 tube on each side.

New drive cable assembly:
a.
Check the date code on the new drive cable assembly part box. Only replacement assemblies with a date code mark of 8/13/01 or later have
improved shoes to minimize sliding friction.
b.
When unpacking the new drive cable assembly, be sure that the small plastic bushing is still attached. If not, the sunroof will hit the vehicle
roof during operation.
Be sure that a small plastic bag containing the link shoes is included with the replacement drive cable assembly. Inspect the link shoes for
possible damage during shipment.
c.
Install the new drive cable into the housing. Leave the drive cable extended approximately 6 inches from the rail.
17.
Place the lift link pin into the groove of the link shoe. Be sure that the collar remains on the link pin and is in the groove in the link shoe slot.
