Vacuum Brake Booster Check Valve: Testing and Inspection

OPERATIONAL CHECK

Remove Vacuum Hose

NOTE:  The check valve is press-fitted inside the vacuum hose at the position of the marking. The check valve should not be removed from the vacuum
hose.

1. Remove the vacuum hose.
2. Check the operation of the check valve by using a vacuum pump connected to the brake booster side "A", a vacuum should be created and held.

Then connect the vacuum pump to the intake manifold side "B", a vacuum should not be observed.

CAUTION:  If the check valve is defective, replace it as an assembly unit together with the vacuum hose.
