Note the difference in bolt lengths at the location shown.
16. Install the drain plug gasket in the shown direction.
17. Clean the mating surface of the oil filter bracket.
18. Apply engine oil to the O-ring of the oil filter.
19. Screw the oil filter in until the O-ring contacts the bracket. Then tighten 3/4 turn [tightening torque: 17 Nm (12 ft. lbs.)].
NOTE: For MD135737, tighten one turn 14 Nm (10 ft. lbs.) after the O-ring contacts the bracket.
