Eclipse Spyder FWD L4-2350cc 2.4L SOHC 16 Valve (1996)
Alignment marks on the fuel gauge unit & pump assembly and fuel gauge unit & pipe assembly could be confused with spot welds, etc. The alignment
marks are two depressed dots stamped into the metal top of the unit. They are about 1/8 inch in diameter and about 1/8 inch apart. The marks on the fuel
gauge unit & pipe assembly are near the white electrical connector. On the fuel gauge unit & pump assembly, the marks are near the fuel return pipe
nipple. It may be necessary to clean the unit in order to distinguish these marks from other stamped dimples and spot welds.
The tank has two alignment marks. These are molded into the tank surface. Each is a single line about 3/8 inch long pointing toward the center of the
mounting hole.
