Component Inspection
1. Apply battery voltage between fan motor connector terminals, Fig. 8.
2. If fan motor runs smoothly and quietly when voltage is applied, it is functioning properly; if not, a new fan motor should be installed.
Troubleshooting Hints
1. Only the radiator fan does not operate.

Check fusible link No. 7.
2. Only the condenser fan does not operate.

Check dedicated fuse No. 9.
3. The radiator fan and condenser fan do not operate in the low speed mode, but operate otherwise.

Check the radiator fan motor relay (LO) and condenser fan motor relay (LO).

Check the powertrain control module.
4. The radiator fan and condenser fan do not operate in the high speed mode, but operate otherwise.

Check the radiator fan motor relay (HI) and condenser fan motor relay (HI).

Check the powertrain control module.
