Barometric Pressure Sensor: Description and Operation
PURPOSE/OPERATION
The Barometric Pressure Sensor measures atmospheric pressure and converts the measurement into a Voltage signal which is sent to the engine
control module. The engine control module uses the Voltage signal to adjust the air-fuel ratio and ignition timing for the altitude at which the
vehicle is running, thus improving driveability at high altitude.
