TRAILER HITCH WIRING HARNESS
- SAFETY RECALL CAMPAIGN
PURPOSE
The Mitsubishi Genuine Accessory trailer hitch wiring harness optionally used on affected vehicles may overheat as a result of a high current draw from
the trailer lamp circuit. Replace the trailer hitch wiring harness with the new, redesigned harness kit listed in the PARTS INFORMATION section of this
bulletin.

2004 Endeavors equipped with Mitsubishi Genuine Accessory trailer hitch wiring harness part number AEN04YHX02

2003-04 Outlanders equipped with Mitsubishi Genuine Accessory trailer hitch wiring harness part number ACU03YHX02
CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION
A letter will be sent to all owners of 2004 Endeavors and 2003-04 Outlanders, with the following instructions:

If they have this wiring harness on their vehicle, DO NOT USE the trailer wiring harness until it is replaced. Other than trailer towing, the vehicle
may be used normally.

Approximately 45 days after they receive the letter (to ensure parts availability), to contact their Mitsubishi Motors dealer to schedule a repair date to
have the trailer hitch wiring harness replaced.
