Select VIN. Then type in the VIN.
3.Using the MUT-III, verify that the vehicle's PCM part number is listed in the table in Step 10. If it is the same as or higher than the ROM ID or
Software P/N in the table, the PCM has already been reprogrammed for this concern.
4.Use the MUT-III to erase all DTCs set in the PCM.
5.Verify that your MUT-III is at STV Version 12.1, and that it has the most current version of the reprogramming database.
a.Select "Special Function", then select "ECU Reprogramming."
b.Select "Database File Display". The database version is displayed in the top right corner of the screen. Make sure the database version is
N05091 or greater.
c.If the database version is less than N05091, go to Step 6.
d.If the database version is N05091 or greater, go to Step 8 (K-Line flash vehicles) or go to Step 9 (CAN-flash vehicles).
NOTE: The procedure for PCM reprogramming on CAN-Flash vehicles is different than K-Line flash vehicles. Be sure to follow the appropriate
reprogramming instructions for the vehicle.
6.Turn the ignition key to OFF and disconnect the MUT-III.
7.Install Reflash Update CD 10/05 in the MUT-III laptop. Follow the CD installation instructions.
