Recall - Propeller Shaft Bolts
No.: SR-04-009
DATE: September, 20041
MODEL:
2004 Endeavor
SUBJECT:
PROPELLER SHAFT BOLTS - SAFETY RECALL CAMPAIGN
PURPOSE
The propeller shaft retaining bolts at the center yoke flange may be insufficiently tightened, overtightened, or missing. If the bolts were to fall out, the
drive to the rear wheels may be interrupted. In the worst case, the driveshaft may fall down, increasing the potential for a vehicle crash.
^
If one of the propeller shaft center yoke flange bolts are only finger-tight, loose or missing, replace the four center yoke flange bolts, following the
procedures in this bulletin.
^
If any of the propeller shaft center yoke flange bolts are only finger-tight, loose or missing when checked by hand, replace the propeller shaft.
