Pull parking brake lever with a force of approximately 45 lbs. and count number of clicks. Lever stroke should be 4-6 clicks.

If parking brake lever stroke is not within specifications, proceed as follows:
a. Remove center console, then loosen adjusting nut on end of cable rod to free parking brake cable.
b. Remove adjustment hole plug in disc rotor then use a flat screwdriver turn adjuster in direction shown in Fig. 13.
c. Return adjuster five notches in opposite direction.
d. Turn adjusting nut to adjust parking brake lever stroke to 4-6 clicks.
e. After adjustment has been made, ensure that there is no play between the adjusting nut and the pin, Fig. 14.
f.

Raise and support rear of vehicle.

g. With parking brake lever released, turn rear wheel to ensure that rear brakes are not dragging.
